St. Martha School Choir is open to any SMCS student in 3rd through 8th grade. Choir practices are held on Mondays from 3:15-4:00 PM in theBorski Activity Room. During choir practice there are many opportunities to study the liturgy as we share our Catholic faith through songs and prayers and provide explanations for better understanding of different liturgical seasons. The school choir will sing on Wednesdays at 8:30 AM Mass and occasionally sing for special celebrations. Please note we may change school Mass to observe holy days and holidays. We celebrate the sharing of the time and talent of all who participate with their service with seasonal celebrations.
For the benefit of ALL… SMCS CHOIR MEMBERS must attend 3 out of 4 practices each month in order to participate at Mass. We want all to be prepared and comfortable leading the music at Mass and without practice they will not be. We will take attendance at practice. Members who are frequently absent from practice will be asked to sit with their class for Mass. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
