Basketball

Basketball is open to boys and girls in Grades 5-8. We strive to have Varsity, JV and C teams. Try-outs for Varsity and JV are held in early November of the current school year. SMCS does not guarantee any student trying out a position on the team.  This is a try out situation and therefore each student should be prepared to do his/her best.  Grade 8 students can only try out for Varsity. All district games will be played with other Catholic schools in our diocese.  We may play other private or public club teams for scrimmages at the coaches’ discretion.
