Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Park and Walk will be the only option for students in Pre-K as we begin the 2024-2025 school year.
Park & Walk utilizes the school doors nearest to the Family Life Center (parking in the Faith Formation lot off Woodland Hills Drive). Parents should not park in the lot by the pavilion, due to carline. The lot next to the outdoor classroom will be closed at 7:30 a.m. for faculty parking only.
There are two options for school arrival from 7:30-7:50 a.m.: Park & Walk or Car Line.
Regardless of which option is utilized, it is mandatory that children are not left unattended on campus. Caregivers must drive the students all the way through carline or walk the students all the way to the Park & Walk doors and wait until the supervising staff members are present. Outside of normal arrival times, a family may register for the Before and After School Program (BASP).
Only students and staff members are authorized to enter the school building beginning at 7:30 a.m. Caregivers will not be allowed to accompany their children into the school building. If a guardian has an appointment to volunteer or meet with a staff member, he/she must check-in at the front office of the school after dropping off his/her child(ren). On the first day of school, caregivers will be allowed to walk their child(ren) to class. Pre-K students may be walked to class by their caregivers during the first week of school.
PARK & WALK ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL:
Caregivers will form a single file line to drop the student(s) off at the locked doors. Students will be received by staff members. Carts will be available for any items the students are unable to carry to class. Please be sure all items are labeled. Staff members will escort the Pre-K students to their homeroom classrooms. All other students will be directed to walk down the Pre-K hallway, utilizing the staircase nearest Oak Shores Drive to access their homeroom classroom or designated arrival area. Staff members will be positioned throughout the building to direct students.

CAR LINE ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL:
Car Line utilizes the parking lot off Oak Shores Drive. Cars enter through the far driveway (farthest from Woodland Hills) and exit through the opposing driveway (just past the school breezeway). A single file line must be formed and for safety purposes, no one may go around others in line. Students will be escorted out of vehicles by staff members on the left side of the vehicles, entering the building 7 doors nearest the breezeway via the ramp from the parking lot (across from the pavilion). Students may not exit the vehicles without a staff member present. If students need to exit the vehicles on the right side, a staff member will cross in front of the vehicle to assist the student(s) out of the vehicle and escort the students in front of the vehicle until they are safely to the ramp. Pre-K students utilizing car line may be escorted by their siblings to class or they will be held in the BASP Room until they are escorted by staff members. The crosswalk will not be utilized during arrival or dismissal, so all students utilizing car line must enter through the building 7 doors and will be directed to their homeroom (or arrival area) from there.
