Educational Background Special Instructor Certificate Glassell School of Art
Philosophy of Education We are all born with that innate desire and ability to create. However, somewhere along the way, many times, that desire disappears. My goal is to allow students the opportunity to create, explore, dream, and see the world through the eyes of an artist. If they can find that inner artist that lives within, the desire to create has potential to change their view of the world around them. By providing the opportunity to explore the basic elements of art through a variety of different media, the students will establish the skills needed to create original works of art that express the unique person that God created them to be.
In 1999, St. John Paul II wrote a letter to artists, which stated, "Through his artistic creativity, man appears more than ever in the image and likeness of God."
Why do you enjoy working at St. Martha Catholic School? I love working at St Martha because I believe in the mission of our school of developing heart, mind, and spirit as we share in community to form witnesses to transform the world. Having four children that have attended and graduated from St Martha, I am now able to see firsthand the results of our mission statement.
