Educational Background B.S. in Chemistry Christian Brothers University
Philosophy of Education As a Catholic educator, I believe my mission is to inspire students to be passionate about learning while at the same time instilling responsibility, discipline, leadership skills, and a love for God in each student. My role as the students’ advocate is to encourage students to fully develop their gifts so as they respond to Christ’s call to discipleship they will effectively transform our world.
What is your favorite academic lesson or project you assign to your students? One of my favorite projects is in Religion. Our 5th grade students research the various appearances of Mary and share with the class all of the details they learned. Our Catholic traditions are ongoing throughout the year at St. Martha Catholic School. We pray the rosary, go to Mass, encourage our students to pray for others, and our 3rd-5th graders bimonthly select a "Light of Christ" from among their peers. To be able to practice our Catholic faith daily and witness our students doing the same is an uplifting experience.
