Educational Background BS in Education Texas A & M International University
Philosophy of Education After being an educator for thirty five years, I believe that the classroom represents the real world. Lessons achieved in the classroom and relationships developed must be applicable to daily life. Teaching must reflect the life of Christ and expressed to our students continually in our walk. What they learn in the classroom, from the instructor or their peers, will affect them in the future in a myriad of ways. The importance of their days spent at St. Martha’s is not only about acquiring skills and education, but about faith in Christ and living out His plan for their lives.
What is your favorite academic unit/lesson you teach or student project you assign?
The Mock Trial is my favorite project. I am always surprised at the students' hard work and sheer determination to conduct the trial. I am always surprised that it never gets old or repetitious. Every trial has been different, fun, and educational.
