Soccer is a co-ed sport within our Archdiocese through the Greater Houston Catholic Athletic Association and is open to boys and girls that will be in Grades 6-8 for that playing season. Try-outs are held in late May of the current school year for the next year.
SMCS does not guarantee any student trying out a position on the team. This is a try out situation and therefore each student should be prepared to do his/her best. Grade 8 students can only try out for Varsity. All district games will be played with other Catholic schools in our diocese. We may play other private or public club teams for scrimmages at the coaches’ discretion.
